Black Magic

Remember Blackmagic? Yep! That Delta-Lagos singer and rapper with undiluted, characteristic, unique Afrobeat blended with hip hop and soul music. Following the outstanding success of his single hit, “Repete”, in his much underrated Sophomore album “Version 2.0” released in 2013, Blackmagic returns with a premiere rustic music video of his new song – “Anything For Love“.

Even though his style has made him lose mainstream audiences over the years, the Based on Belief (BoB) artiste has remained committed to delivering top-notch, quality music to his die-hard fans.

The new song shows the affectionate feelings between two lovers and the sacrifice, commitment and loyalty that comes with love.

The video song does not clearly relate to the song but more of a visual campaign that expresses the rustic beauty of the “black body” and the rural life of locals, set out in the far old Minna town of Northern Nigeria.

Anything For Love is a soulful, love music filled with jazz moments and Blackmagic’s characteristic, smooth vocal, employing all his falsetto in the right places, and the chorus – “Anything For Love” – popping up at the right pace. The song is perfect for a Sunday morning wake-up vibe.

The video song is produced by Spax under Blackmagic own label, Based on Belief Entertainment (BoB).
