After the huge success of King of Boys in 2018; Kemi Adebita decided to grace us with a sequel no one can seem to stop talking about. King of Boys is a crime political drama that revolves around the life of a philanthropist, Alhaja Eniola Salami, and the dirty world that is politics in Nigeria. The film caused a lot of conversation among Nigerians, everyone had a comment or a theory to chip in. Kemi Adebita has managed to keep the film in the mouths of Nigerians for two years, which is superb for any film if I may say.

Towards the tail end of 2019; Kemi Adetiba revealed through her instagram, that a sequel was in the works. During the lock down a monologue challenge was held for actors around Nigeria to have fun and recreate a selected scenes from the film. The challenge dominated social media for months. Lockdown really heightened everyones creative ability if i may add.

In August Adetiba also revealed a new addition to the cast list; no other than the brilliant Nse Ikpe Etim. She’s cast as the role of Mrs. Jumoke Randle, wife to Governor Tunde Randle. We all know Nse Ikpe Etim to bring her A-Game to every project and from the sneak peeks we’ve been getting from both their Instagram accounts it’s going to be a sight for sore eyes. Other additional cast members that have been revealed include Richard Mofe Damijo, Mrs. Taiwo Ajayi Lycette and Efa Iwar.

Filming began this month and it’s exciting to watch the process through social media. A few hours ago Kemi also released the first teaser of the film and the internet is going crazy. Everyone keeps trying to figure out who the person (whose name shall not be spoken) is.

Watch the teaser here.
