The Study of Diversity of the Nigerian Girl by Chukwuka Nwobi

Chukwuka’s The Study of Diversity of the Nigerian Girl is a reflection of most of his other work. The 19 year old photography gets bold on his visual interpretations and redefinition of modern creativity.

‘I sang my hymn like this, All women bright and beautiful, all women great and small, all women wise and wonderful, the lord God made them all, Slim thighs, no thick thighs and wide noses, arch brows that resembled the curves of girls and their mothers, clear in lace wrappers, sometimes hidden in their covers, I learned that beauty can be made in all shapes and sizes, could be lightskinned or dark skinned with acne or freckles, could have rosy lips and big brown dark ones too, which western media viewed as taboo’
