The Falomo Festival happens this Saturday

Polly Alakija and Ed Keazor present the Eko For Show Sessions Vol. 1. A celebration of the musical heritage of Lagos. In the liberated and democratic open-air settings of the Falomo Bridge, Ikoyi Lagos.

In performance shall be :

The Lafiagi Agidigbo Ensemble, performing the traditional urban sounds that made a great citY

The Igbadun Squad: Young, gifted and Lagosian, this phenomenal quartet have grown a strong cult following with their fare of Afrobeat, Highlife, Afofunk and Ballads. Their evocative lyrics reflect their experience as voyagers in a tough but lovable city- Lagos.

The Lagos Afrofunk Collective: A gathering of some of Africa’s finest musicians based in Lagos. These veterans count periods of engagement with musical legends like Fela, Manu Dibango, Tony Allen, The Funkees, Monomono, Tabu Ley-Afrisa, Lagbaja, John Scofield, Omar, E.C.Arinze, Zeal Onyia, Onyeka Onwenu and many others.

The evening shall also feature, Spoken Word Performances and Dance from a variety of guest performers.
