Silas Adekunle developed an interest in technology at an early age, honing his craft through tinkering and tweaking amateur robotics. He also attributes some of his skills from watching videos on YouTube and dabbling in coding to now being one of the world’s highest-paid robotics engineers.

Blurring the lines between gaming, robotics and augmented reality through his company, ‘Reach Robotics’, Silas acknowledges that training and constant refining helped him improve from his teenage experiments which include a robot he had made out of baked beans cans and a robotic face that had tennis balls for eyes, to now being founder and CEO of his own robotics company.

Making onto Forbes magazine’s latest “30 Under 30” list for European Technology for creating the worlds first gaming robot, Adekunle, with his business partner and CTO of Reach Robotics, Christopher Beck, were able to sell 500 bots which include a special personalisation feature, generating around $7.5million.

Speaking on his work, Adekunle says” “When I went into robotics, I really loved motion. People are used to clunky robots, and when you make it realistic, people either love it or they’re freaked out.
