Nigerian Music and Artists have in recent times not only been placed in the local hall of fame, These days, Nigerian musicians are seeing the need to connect with their fans outside of just releasing music, and hence, we are seeing a rise in the popularity of documentaries that give us a lot more insight into our geniuses.

YouTube music is known to produce documentaries that features exceptional and excellent talents, with documentaries about Wizkid, Wande Coal and even Ghanaian star Mr. Eazi, and now a new entry for Burna Boy.

Burna Boy is one of the most acclaimed Nigerian artists working today, as he’s been putting out particularly great music for the past year. He even recently released a four-track EP and he has also hinted fans for an upcoming short film.

In light of all of this, it is more fitting for this documentary to be released at this time, as there’s definitely a lot of attention on him at the moment. In the doc, Burna Boy lets us into his world, sharing everything from the origin of his stage name, to the way his music is influenced by being Nigerian. 

We also hear from his friends and family, who give more insight into his personality, and how his talent was honed from a young age. It’s very interesting to note that Burna Boy spent his formative years planning to become a superhero called Burna Boy, and in some ways, he’s achieved that.
